Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Dental Assistant Certificate
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Certification
Nice To Haves
- Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification
- Dental Assistant Radiology certification
- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assists dentist with treatment and care of dental patients
- Offers chairside assistance to dentists for patient care services and other dental procedures
- Serves as a primary point of contact for patients upon introduction and entry to the dental clinic
- Provides dual customer service efforts to the dentist and to dental patients
- Expected to have dental set-up ready when dentist enters room
- Performs special treatment procedures in the areas of Pedodontic, Endodontic, Prosthetic, Periodontic dentistry
- Sterilizes and prepares all dental instruments, equipment, and other materials for daily use
- Completes daily spore tests, cleaning, x-ray processing equipment, and dental evacuation traps
- Capable of disinfecting and pouring impressions
- Attends all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned.
