About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile and efficient work environment. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a dental assisting role
  • Must have attention to detail and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Responds professionally to high-pressure situations and time limits.
  • Wants to learn, grow and provide compassionate patient care.
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to general dentistry practices.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment.
  • Experience in medical documentation and maintaining medical records.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a dental assisting role is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Operate dental software such as eClinicalWorks (eCW) for managing patient records and appointments.
