The Dental Center of Mishawaka is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join their friendly, patient-focused team. This role is crucial in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for while supporting the dentist and clinical team. Requirements
- 1+ year of hands-on dental assisting experience
- X-Ray certification required
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification and willingness to maintain required annual training
Nice To Haves
- Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures
- Provide compassionate, friendly patient care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Take X-rays and assist with impressions and other diagnostics
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and other safety requirements
- Assist with dental and medical emergencies as needed
