About The Position

Dr. J Pediatric Dentistry, an affiliate of CHORD Specialty Dental Partners, has an immediate opportunity available for a Dental Assistant! Are you a Dental Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in patients' oral health? Requirements

Must have Coronal polish Certification
Must have X-ray License (provisional license at minimum)
Must be willing to be OR certified
Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification

Responsibilities

Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environment
Review all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement
Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards
Have coronal polishing certification - We are able to provide a sealant course!
Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian
Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
Charting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures
Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible
Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit
Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer
Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state
