About The Position

Big Smiles Missouri, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Team Lead in St. Louis, MO and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school, working full-time. Our innovative in-school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Requirements

• X-ray License
• Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• CPR certified
• Work experience as a Dental Assistant
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and willing to travel
• Works well with children
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Team player and able to work on a small team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be willing to travel daily
• Ability to meet deadlines and arrive on-time each day
• Reliable, organized, punctual
• Computer skills – Microsoft office applications
• Great people skills - ability to communicate with Adults & Children
• Must have valid drivers license, clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Patient Records Charting
• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance
• Travel Daily to and from school sites
• Responsible for driving company vehicle
• Order supplies, sterilizing instruments, spore testing
• Responsible for back office duties
• Keep van & equipment in good condition
