About The Position
Lamson Institute is seeking part-time Dental Assistant Instructors for morning classes, Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays. The institute, established in 2007 in San Antonio, TX, trains adults for career opportunities in Allied Health. Instructors are responsible for molding future caregivers by sharing their knowledge and experience. The Dental Assisting program teaches students front office management, preliminary examination procedures, chair-side assistance, patient care, charting, appointment scheduling, and record keeping. Graduates receive a Diploma in Dental Assisting and CPR Certification, preparing them for entry-level roles such as dental assistants, office managers, and insurance billers, and for state and national certification exams (TSBDE Texas Jurisprudence Assessment, DANB's AMP, ICE, and RHS exams).
Requirements
- 5 years minimum field experience in the field
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience a plus but not required (we train!)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
