About The Position
Dental Assistant II – Pediatrics at Blakeney Pediatric Dentistry is a full-time position focused on delivering high-quality care and creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for young patients. The role involves assisting pediatric dentists chairside, preparing and sterilizing instruments, capturing X-rays, educating patients and families, and maintaining patient records. This position may require flexibility to support multiple locations.
Requirements
- CDA or EFDA certification
- Coronal Polishing & Nitrous Oxide certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, HIPAA compliance, and infection control
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Familiarity with Curve dental software preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment
- Create a welcoming and comforting experience for children
- Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines
- Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front-office support as needed
