About The Position
Tega Cay Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant II to join their growing, multi-location pediatric dental practice. The role involves playing a vital part in delivering high-quality care and creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for young patients. This position may require flexibility to support multiple locations as needed. The practice is committed to earning trust through compassionate care, thoughtful innovation, and integrity, with a vision to be the most trusted pediatric dental and orthodontic group in the Carolinas.
Requirements
- CDA or EFDA certification
- Coronal Polishing & Nitrous Oxide certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, HIPAA compliance, and infection control
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Familiarity with Curve dental software preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment
- Create a welcoming and comforting experience for children
- Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines
- Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front-office support as needed
