Dental Assistant II - Lanakila Health Center - Kalihi, Oahu
About The Position
This position is with the Department of Health at the Lanakila Health Center in Kalihi, Oahu. The Dental Assistant II will furnish chairside assistance to a dentist in the performance of dental procedures. Under general supervision, they will perform related clinical-support duties such as cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment, and preparing restorative and other materials for dental treatment of patients. The role also involves making appointments, maintaining dental records, retracting tongue and cheeks from the area of operation, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- One (1) year of full-time work experience which involved general chairside assistance to dentists performing examinations, fillings, extractions, and the treatment of various oral conditions; cleaning and sterilizing equipment, preparation and mixing materials for fillings and maintaining dental records.
- Possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
