About The Position
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support dental providers and deliver quality patient care. This role includes chairside assistance, patient education, infection control, and supporting clinic operations.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year experience
- Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration required
- BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire
- Strong infection control and patient communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures
- Escort and greet patients; ensure patient comfort and confidentiality
- Assist with patient charting, vitals, and dental documentation in Dentrix/Allscripts
- Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
- Support scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and quality improvement activities
- Train new staff and assist with competency testing and ongoing education
