About The Position

We are actively seeking to hire a full-time Dental Assistant for all locations. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant I, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dental care to our young patients while maintaining a positive and nurturing environment. This position requires the flexibility to travel to one or more locations as needed, ensuring consistent support across all practices.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
  • X-ray certification
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children and their families
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Flexibility to travel to different practice locations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist pediatric dentists during dental procedures, including cleanings, examinations, and treatments
  • Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment for each patient appointment
  • Comfort and communicate effectively with pediatric patients, calming any anxieties and ensuring a positive dental experience
  • Take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
  • Educate parents and guardians on proper oral hygiene techniques for children and provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, charting, and progress notes
  • Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas to meet infection control standards
  • Collaborate with the front office staff to schedule appointments
  • Assist in managing inventory of dental supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting a safe and welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to various practice locations as required.
