About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM, is currently seeking a Dental Assistant - EDDA/EFDA to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients. This position will report to the Lead Dental Assistant. The role involves creating a friendly relationship with patients and parents, educating them on good oral health, organizing and sterilizing dental instruments, providing oral hygiene instructions, collecting and documenting patient records, and ensuring the practice is clean and presentable. The position also includes participating in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
Active EDDA/EFDA certification or registration
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
Current BLS CPR certification

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works a plus
Previous experience working in a dental office preferred

Responsibilities

Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents and educate them on good oral health
Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
Provide clear, effective, and encouraging oral hygiene instructions
Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
