About The Position

The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for a Dental Assistant. The key responsibilities of this position include the following: Provides dental assisting services to practitioners in Dental Faculty Practice. Provides chair-side assistance; maintains equipment and instruments. Dispenses dental materials. Prepare trays, maintains and orders supplies and cleans instruments. Takes radiographs.

Requirements

• Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Certification or vocational training may be required.
• Dental X-Ray Machine Operator permit from the Ohio State Dental Board.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
