About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Denim Designer in New York, NY (Hybrid). This role requires strong expertise in denim design, product development, and wash execution. The Denim Designer will support the Denim Design Lead across seasonal development, wash management, PLM execution, and cross-functional product development from concept through proto. The position involves updating sketches, BOMs, and product information in Centric PLM, organizing and preparing wash samples, maintaining digital boards, tracking proto samples, and supporting seasonal design development. The role also includes participating in various review meetings, documenting feedback, managing revisions, ensuring alignment on calendar milestones, and preparing design boards and product reviews. Requirements

  • 4+ years in Apparel Design related experience, denim experience a must.
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
  • Strong understanding of denim construction, garment washes, and wash development.
  • Hands-on experience with Centric PLM (required).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Miro.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Update sketches, BOMs, and product information in Centric PLM.
  • Organize and prepare wash samples for review, including documenting wash comments and supporting wash development.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating Miro boards, Visulon boards, and digital assortment boards.
  • Organize and track proto samples throughout the development process.
  • Support seasonal design development by ensuring accurate documentation, sample tracking, and cross-functional communication.
  • Maintain organized product, wash, and sample libraries to support design reviews and key milestones.
  • Participate in proto reviews, fit sessions, wash reviews, and milestone meetings, documenting feedback and managing revisions.
  • Participates in development and post-proto meetings to ensure feedback is clearly documented, communicated, and actioned across teams.
  • Ensures alignment on key calendar milestones and proactively resolves potential delays.
  • Prepares and presents compelling design boards and product reviews to design lead and cross-functional teams.
