About The Position

This role provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by preparing and demonstrating products for customers in the store. The Demonstrator offers samples, explains product features, and suggests preparation methods.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent experience.
• Less than six months of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables.
• Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording.
• Ability to have increased contact with people, interview or advise people.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting/passing along customer suggestions.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Prepares product for sampling.
• Offers samples to customers.
• Answers customers’ product related questions.
• Explains products and makes suggestions on preparation.
• Organizes items needed to do demonstration.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available.
• Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Stocks supplies needed for demonstration.
• Assists in other areas of store as needed.
• Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
