About The Position

EGS is seeking a Demolition Project Manager for direct hire. This position is in Livermore, CA and comes with top competitive salary and great benefits. Must be US Citizen. The role involves championing a culture of safety, providing on-site supervision and hands-on involvement in daily operations, conducting environmental and safety assessments, overseeing abatement and remediation of hazardous materials, and managing radiological demolition projects within contamination areas. The Project Manager will also be responsible for team leadership, client communication, budget and scheduling, contract management, and work planning.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of incident-free management on large-scale demolition projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage demolition and remediation projects in high-risk environments.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct work.
  • Keeping project on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented with clear accountability standards tied to safety performance.
  • The ability to forecast work three weeks in advance tracking manpower and equipment needs.
  • Familiarity with federal/state environmental and demolition regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Invoicing, Timekeeping.
  • Working in a nuclear environment.
  • Working under scrutiny and regulation within Government facilities.
  • Managing and completing work safe to industry standards.
  • Ensuring that all employees are following site specific rules and regulations.
  • Must be US Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of safety on-site.
  • Full-time, on-site supervision and hands-on involvement in daily operations from project inception to completion.
  • Conduct environmental and safety assessments, implement work plans, and ensure strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, and contract-specific regulations.
  • Oversee abatement and remediation of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, PCBs, heavy metals, and CERCLA/RCRA-defined wastes.
  • Managing crews and work inside contamination areas (CAs), and high contamination areas (HCAs) with a general familiarity of Department of Energy demolition and remediation activities.
  • Follow Radioactive Work Permits (RWP), Industrial Work Permits (IWP), and Hot Work Permits.
  • Hire, train, and supervise laborers, equipment operators, and environmental technicians.
  • Act as primary liaison between the field team, clients, regulatory agencies, and company leadership.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and weekly progress reporting.
  • Develop cost estimates, monitor job costing, and track production metrics to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
  • Detailed understanding of contractual requirements, reporting, and change order management.
  • Develop work plans to be integrated into Work Instruction Packages and provide other input into the Work Planning process.
  • Be a point of contact with clients and maintain a positive relationship with clients.
