About The Position

SA Recycling – South Texas Region, is currently looking for an Offsite Demolition lead man to join our Values based organization. This position will be based in our Brownsville, TX facility.

Requirements

Must pass a medical physical and drug test
Must pass a background check and credit check
Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
An understanding of the metal market well enough to negotiate pricing, delivery process, and production demands
Possess interpersonal skills to gain support of workforce and clientele when conducting business
Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.
3-5 years minimum experience in Supervising others
Experience in Demolition including the use of tools and equipment

Nice To Haves

high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus

Responsibilities

Lead the crew by assigning and coordinating daily work activities.
Support the Foreman/Supervisor in managing workflow, schedules, and productivity.
Work alongside the crew and perform the same job duties as needed.
Identify and resolve routine job-site issues; escalate major concerns promptly.
Ensure all employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and wear required PPE.
Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed correctly and on schedule.
Train, mentor, and assist new and existing employees.
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
Report safety hazards, equipment issues, injuries, and incidents immediately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Maintain OSHA requirements, work rules, and safety protocols while collaborate with service providers to ensure efficient, cost-effective preventive maintenance.
