About The Position

The Demo Studio Lead will own the end-to-end demo experience for OpenAI’s major events, webinars, and strategic programs. This is a highly cross-functional role focused on translating cutting-edge AI capabilities into clear, compelling, and production-ready experiences. The role involves owning the full demo portfolio for an event or initiative, spanning mainstage moments, breakout experiences, booths, and supporting content. Responsibilities include defining the narrative, architecting workflows, building high-fidelity demo environments, directing presenters, and ensuring flawless execution in live environments. A key part of the role is presenting the work directly: delivering live demonstrations to executive, technical, and industry audiences across mainstage, breakout, customer, and recorded settings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, operates with strong ownership, and is excited about shaping how the world experiences AI firsthand.

Requirements

• 8+ years in technical product marketing and/or technical success roles
• A strong systems thinking and can design end-to-end workflows and experiences
• Technically fluent and comfortable working with APIs, AI systems, data, and modern development tools
• Experience building demos, prototypes, or customer-facing applications
• Strong storytelling instincts and can simplify complex technical concepts into compelling narratives
• Exceptional live presenters with executive presence, able to make complex technical work clear, credible, and compelling in both scripted and unscripted settings
• Thrive in high-stakes environments such as launches, conferences, or live executive demos
• Highly detail-oriented and care deeply about craft, usability, and quality
• Can operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in ambiguous environments
• Stay calm under pressure and can troubleshoot effectively in real time

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end demo experience across OpenAI-hosted summits, webinars, third-party industry events, and strategic executive demonstrations.
• Translate approved product positioning, real OpenAI capabilities, and audience needs into compelling narratives, believable customer workflows, and clear takeaways.
• Personally build high-fidelity demo environments, working applications, and agent-driven workflows using ChatGPT Work, Codex, approved data, and connected tools.
• Personally present live demonstrations to executive, technical, and industry audiences, adapting the story and level of detail in real time.
• Lead technical and live-production readiness, including presenter rehearsals, capability validation, known limitations, troubleshooting, and recovery plans.
• Design cohesive experiences across keynotes, breakouts, demo theaters, booths, webinars, and attendee-facing activations.
• Partner with Product, Research, Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, GTM, and Events to align on technical truth, approved claims, audience needs, and execution.
• Create reusable golden narratives, reference demonstrations, presenter guidance, approved assets, and audience-specific adaptations that extend the strongest work across programs.
• Prioritize requests based on strategic audience value, customer benefit, product readiness, reuse potential, and available team capacity.
