About The Position
Exhava Home Care is seeking compassionate and experienced caregivers with dementia care expertise to assist older adults in their homes. With over 13 years of experience, Exhava Home Care prioritizes quality care for clients and support for its caregivers. This role involves providing patient, respectful, and person-centered care to individuals with memory loss, making a significant impact on their daily lives.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
- 5+ years of caregiving experience
- Experience providing care to clients with dementia or memory loss
- Active California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration
- Current TB test result or chest X-ray documentation
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- Provide safe mobility assistance
- Support clients experiencing dementia and memory-related challenges with patience and respect
- Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands when needed
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and comfortable home environment
- Observe and communicate changes or concerns to the care team
- Follow individualized care plans and promote client dignity and independence
