Seeking a compassionate, experienced caregiver to support a retired teacher, Army veteran, and devoted family man who enjoys walks, music, conversation, and staying active. This role is ideal for someone who understands dementia care and enjoys creating engaging, purposeful days, not just completing tasks. Requirements

• Alzheimer's/dementia experience
• Remains calm during confusion or agitation
• Enjoys meaningful conversation
• Comfortable with personal care
• Dependable and proactive
• Can create engagement rather than waiting for it

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and respite support
• Assist with showers and grooming
• Support shaving, dressing, oral care, and appearance
• Take walks with the client and family dog
• Visit parks, libraries, and community locations
• Engage through music, conversation, and shared interests
• Use calm redirection when confusion occurs
• Help maintain dignity, confidence, and routine
