About The Position

Cheer Home Care is actively hiring experienced caregivers with significant dementia experience for short shifts in North County. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing compassionate non-medical home care services to the elderly and disabled, specifically for individuals with dementia. As a Cheer Home Care Aide, your main focus will be on providing companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation services, all designed to help our clients maintain a comfortable and fulfilling life at home. Requirements

• 10+ years of experience providing high-quality care.
• Experience with specialized care, such as Dementia or Parkinson's, is required.
• Ability to provide mobility assistance, transfers, and physical support.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to drive client in their vehicle (mileage reimbursement included).
• Must have a smartphone with internet access.

Nice To Haves

• CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED certifications are preferred but not required.
• Desire for stability and to stick with the same client long-term.
• Warm, vibrant heart; someone who treats clients like family and takes pride in making a positive difference every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate non-medical home care services to the elderly and disabled, specifically for individuals with dementia.
• Provide companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation services.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, personal hygiene assistance, and light meal prep.
• Provide transportation services to clients for medical appointments.
• Organize dementia-friendly tasks and activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and organization.

Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $22 to $23, depending on experience, certifications, reference reviews, car access, and more.
