About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring compassionate Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, and DSPs to provide non-medical in-home dementia care for a client in St. John, Indiana. We are looking for dependable caregivers who are patient, calm, attentive, and experienced or comfortable working with seniors living with dementia or memory loss.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check
• Comfortable using a smartphone for communication and scheduling

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Preferred 2 years experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s care, caregiving, CNA, HHA, PCA, or DSP work
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
• CPR certification and TB test preferred or willing to obtain

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and dementia support
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
• Provide safety supervision and redirection as needed
• Support daily routines and engagement activities
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Use mobile app for scheduling and documentation
• Follow agency safety and infection control procedures
