About The Position

CityBus is seeking a part-time Demand Response Operator to provide direct public transit service to the Lafayette and West Lafayette communities, including Purdue University. The ideal candidate will have a passion for meeting and helping people in the community, a great sense of direction, and a customer service-oriented attitude. This role involves operating vehicles safely, efficiently, and courteously, interacting with a diverse range of personalities.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Valid For Hire License OR Valid Class B Indiana Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsements.
• Ability to pass DOT physical.
• Ability to obtain a valid For Hire License with ability to pass DOT physical during the initial training period.
• Must meet motor vehicle license and criminal background standards.
• Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Some mechanical aptitude required.
• Physically and mentally qualified to safely operate a commercial passenger vehicle.
• Must participate in ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
