The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Demand Planning SME you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Playing a key role in creating an unbiased, accurate demand plan that is critical for planning material flow throughout the supply chain Applying market intelligence and making sound judgements to the demand plan. Market intelligence may come from sales, marketing, key accounts, and other sources. Able to execute portfolio analyses and draw insightful recommendations and actions utilizing fundamental Demand Planning frameworks and tools Prepare and Lead consensus/demand review with different levels in the organization. Leveraging forecast performance metric tools to measure accuracy, assess the quality and frequency of overrides, assess forecast bias, and identify and address the largest sources of forecast error. Identify Root cause analyses and define improving actions. Maximizing the effectiveness of the statistical forecast by adjusting/ cleansing historical demand, selecting “best-fit” statistical profiles and optimizing statistical parameters, determining appropriate levels of aggregation for calculating the statistical forecast. Forecast and manage portfolios at multiple lags Forecast and manage portfolios at multiple levels along value chain (e.g forecast finished good vs forecast semi-finished goods) Be agile and adapting varies forecasting strategies while understanding real constrains along supply chain value chain. Drive improvement and engagement of the SOP process with the Business (Sales, Marketing and Finance), reconcile demand plan with commercial targets through intertwined structures. Portfolio complexity: 10K+ SKUs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience working in supply chain operations in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of Demand Planning experience in a highly complex, pull-based supply chain environment in a private, public, government or military environment
  • One (1) year of combined experience in SAP and at least one APS system (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, IBP).

  • Strong understanding of statistical forecasting (parameters, modeling, significant level, etc.) able to work with statisticians to improve modeling and drive statistical performance.

  • Able to influence and drive decision making across functions and process maturity improvements.
