Demand Planning Analyst
About The Position
Motorola Solutions is seeking a Demand Analyst to join their North America Demand Planning team. This role is responsible for developing and executing a multi-year demand plan to support business objectives related to revenue, cost, cash, and customer experience. The Supply Chain and Procurement organization operates in a fast-paced environment, focused on delivering world-class communications equipment and solutions globally. Their purpose is to provide exceptional value and customer experience through agility, speed, and collaboration, planning product needs, sourcing efficiently, launching new products, delivering solutions on time, and exceeding customer expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, IT, Management, or Supply Chain.
- 3+ years of experience working in a Demand Planning or Supply Planning environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.
- Interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Oracle Demand Planning or other ERP software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and prepare forecast data.
- Develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
- Identify key global supply shortages across the business and calculate total revenue risk tied to shortages.
- Present global revenue risk bi-quarterly to executive partners.
- Create and implement processes to achieve best-in-class forecast accuracy.
- Identify practices that cause gyrations to the supply base and systematically resolve them.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning to achieve inventory targets.
- Drive alignment with Sales, Finance, Supply, Product, and Engineering teams on the demand plan over a 2-year planning horizon.
