Demand Planning Analyst

About The Position

Salad and Go is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst who will be responsible for forecasting demand across restaurant locations and production facilities to optimize inventory, minimize waste, and ensure seamless operations. This role involves analyzing sales trends, seasonality, and market data to develop accurate demand plans that align with business goals. The analyst collaborates closely with supply chain, operations, and culinary teams to balance production capacity with restaurant needs, ensuring the right ingredients and products are available at the right time. Additionally, they refine forecasting models, monitor performance metrics, and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Engineering graduate degree with a focus on Industrial Engineering/Statistics
  • Experience with applying statistical methods to real world situations
  • Knowledge of R or Python and SQL is a must
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA and VBS scripting
  • Knowledge of Tableau is a must
  • Knowledge in inventory management including safety stocks, PAR levels is a must
  • Knowledge in Regression Analysis, Time Series Forecasting and/or Data mining is a must
  • Passionate about process optimization
  • Can-do attitude and motivated to identify areas of improvement and work to find solutions
  • Ability to work independently as well on a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including SharePoint
  • Should be able to apply forecasting techniques to predict daily demand while considering various independent variables that affect the sales
  • Should be able to translate revenue data into ingredient level usage
  • Will be working closely with procurement, production and retail store team and support them with revenue and ingredient data
  • Work on the ad-hoc requests from production and purchasing team and other stake holders by using the historical data and other qualitative inputs
