About The Position

Eaton’s Data Center division is currently seeking a Demand Planner to join our team. This position is hybrid with preference for this person to be in Raleigh NC or Woodridge, IL. Will consider remote within the US. As a Demand Planner, you will be a key member of the Supply Chain team responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving demand forecasts that support production planning, inventory optimization, and customer service objectives. This role partners cross-functionally to align demand signals with supply capabilities and business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year of related professional experience
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of ERP requirements and customer order processing
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present data effectively to support recommendations regarding production plan/master schedule
  • Ability to work in a growth oriented and fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to adjust work priorities to meet continuously changing schedules
  • Ability to set priorities and accomplish goals within time constraints.
  • Maintaining sense of urgency to customers’ requirements.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • ERP Experience, SAP and Kinaxis Preferred
  • CPIM or other supply chain certification
  • Experience in a supply chain buying, planning, or scheduling role
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and customer inputs.
  • Lead demand review activities within the SIOP process, analyzing forecast changes, risks, and opportunities, and recommending actions to meet service and inventory targets.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and key demand drivers; identify root causes and implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly reporting on forecast accuracy, demand trends, and planning assumptions to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to incorporate promotions, new program assumptions, customer commitments, and market intelligence into forecasts.
  • Monitor demand variability and identify risks related to forecast volatility, capacity constraints, or customer changes.
  • Maintain accurate demand planning and item master data within the ERP and planning systems.
  • Support inventory optimization by balancing forecast accuracy, service levels, and working capital objectives.
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by developing ramp-up/ramp-down forecasts and managing lifecycle transitions and phase-in/phase-out plans.
