About The Position

The Demand Planner is a high-impact role responsible for owning demand forecasts for assigned product families, with a strong focus on domestic content alignment. This role ensures that commercial demand signals translate into executable plans aligned with domestic sourcing strategies, production capacity, and supply constraints. Partnering closely with Commercial, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, the Demand Planner provides data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and risk assessments to support strategic decision-making. While not owning the full S&OP process, this position significantly influences demand inputs and forecast integrity across the organization.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning
  • Experience in manufacturing, clean energy, or regulated/domestic-content-driven environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills, including scenario modeling and data interpretation
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and planning/ERP systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect planning decisions to financial and operational outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Own item-level and aggregate demand forecasts for assigned product families
  • Lead monthly demand alignment reviews with Commercial teams, challenging assumptions and improving forecast accuracy
  • Provide scenario modeling and risk analysis to support S&OP and leadership discussions
  • Serve as the demand lead for domestic content visibility, including mix tracking, allocation planning, and exposure analysis
  • Align demand forecasts with domestic supply availability and production capacity constraints
  • Partner with Procurement and Operations to identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Translate market intelligence and pipeline data into structured, data-driven forecasts
  • Support inventory strategy, new product introductions, and product transitions
  • Monitor forecast performance and supply chain KPIs; perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning methodologies, tools, and data governance
