About The Position

The Demand Planner develops demand forecasts across multiple aggregation levels and time horizons. The role analyzes assigned categories and items, including seasonality, pricing, promotional activity, trends, advertising plans, category roles, sales objectives and drivers, and product life-cycle plans. It maintains ordering parameters, contributes to sales and operating planning and execution with suppliers, customers, distribution center operations, and other supply chain groups, and develops inventory supply plans to support demand while respecting distribution capacity and inventory targets. The position also creates purchase orders, reviews inventory against demand, collaborates with suppliers and supply chain partners to improve performance and resolve recurring issues, and gathers and shares new-product information. Other projects or duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4 to 6+ years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 7 to 9+ years of specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and across multiple time horizons.
• Understand assigned categories and items, including seasonality, pricing, promotional activity, trends, advertising plans, category roles, sales objectives and drivers, and life-cycle plans.
• Maintain accurate system ordering parameters.
• Contribute to sales and operating planning and execution with suppliers, customers, distribution center operations, and other supply chain groups, collaborating on forecasts, promotions, new-item launches, and other activities.
• Develop inventory supply plans that interpret forecasts and promotions and ensure appropriate inventory levels while staying within distribution capacity and inventory targets.
• Create purchase orders and review inventory against demand to ensure the right supply level at the right time.
• Collaborate with suppliers and supply chain partners to improve performance and resolve chronic issues such as lead time, fill rate, and data quality.
• Gather, review, and disseminate new-product information.
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned.
