Planificateur(trice) de la Demande - Demand Planner

Groupe TouchetteMontreal, QC
Hybrid

About The Position

We are undergoing a major digital transformation to increase the use of our ERP (SAP) and reduce our reliance on manual tools such as Excel and custom-developed applications. In this context, we are looking to welcome a Demand Planner who combines strong planning expertise with proven experience in SAP IBP to support this transition and elevate the digital maturity of our organization. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, the Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate forecasts to support product availability and commercial performance, taking into account the market’s strong seasonality and the company’s growth objectives. This role is key to aligning demand forecasts with supply capabilities as part of the S&OP process, and to providing internal teams (sales, marketing, finance, procurement) with a clear view of future demand. The position is based in Montréal (Boulevard Lebeau), with a weekly schedule of four days on site.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in demand planning, ideally in a high-volume, highly seasonal environment.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) actively using an ERP within a supply chain environment; SAP APO/IBP is a prerequisite.
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency with analytical and planning tools (Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication skills and strong cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, a key asset in the current transformation context.
  • Bilingualism required: Proficiency in English is necessary due to the nature of interactions with pan-Canadian partners who are predominantly English-speaking. This language is frequently used in both written and verbal communications. An advanced level is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reliable demand forecasts for assigned product lines, in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply teams.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, promotions, and seasonal cycles to refine forecasts.
  • Incorporate new product launches and promotional initiatives into demand planning.
  • Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy and bias to continuously improve data quality.
  • Actively participate in the S&OP process, prepare and present demand reviews, and contribute to overall alignment between forecasts and supply strategy.
  • Proactively communicate with internal teams to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting tools, processes, and methodologies (SAP, advanced Excel, IBP solutions or equivalent).
  • Act as an ambassador of digital transformation by promoting ERP tool adoption and the standardization of best practices.
