About The Position

The Demand & Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for integrating demand planning, manufacturing requirements, and financial analysis to support effective business planning and decision-making. Analyze MRP outputs, develop cash flow projections, perform financial and variance analysis, and create standardized management reports. Partner with other departments to ensure alignment between operational plans and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, supply chain, business, or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in financial planning, demand planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain analysis, and FP&A.
  • Experience developing cash flow projections, financial forecasts, and financial models.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and experience analyzing ERP-generated planning and financial data.
  • Knowledge of MRP processes, manufacturing planning, material requirements, inventory planning and production scheduling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to build robust financial models, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Ability to interpret MRP data and connect material and production requirements to business and financial impacts.
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and explain significant variances and their underlying drivers.
  • Ability to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from ERP and other business systems.
  • Expert ability to manipulate large datasets, develop models, automate analysis, and produce management-ready reports.
  • Ability to clearly present financial and operational insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to support sound business decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting S&OP/IBP, demand forecasting, capacity planning, or production planning processes.
  • Experience automating recurring reports and analytical processes.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory valuation, working capital, and manufacturing cost drivers.
  • Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI (preferred)
  • Microsoft Project or other project scheduling & resource planning tools. (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze demand forecasts, inventory requirements, production plans, and MRP outputs to identify material, capacity, timing, and supply risks.
  • Support manufacturing planning activities by analyzing production requirements, material availability, lead times, inventory levels, and planned orders.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow projections, financial forecasts, and planning models.
  • Perform financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, operational planning, and management decision-making.
  • Conduct detailed budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual, and plan-to-actual variance analysis; identify key drivers and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute standardized financial, operational, demand planning, and manufacturing reports.
  • Analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Build and maintain financial models, planning tools, dashboards, and analytical templates.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other functional teams to ensure alignment between operational plans and financial objectives.
  • Validate data integrity and reconcile information across ERP systems, financial systems, and reporting tools.
  • Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Prepare management presentations and communicate financial and operational results using Microsoft PowerPoint and other reporting tools.
  • Improve reporting processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced data analysis.
  • Support project scheduling, resource planning, and timeline management as needed.
