About The Position

The Demand Analysis Manager will be responsible for accurately updating and driving the master plan, considering capacity, cost, and contractual requirements. This role involves developing, communicating, and selecting the optimal master plan by analyzing trade-offs among inventory, costs, productive capacity, storage, and service to support increased efficiencies and reduced costs. The manager will ensure the master plan meets demand plan and business objectives through integrated business planning processes, actively participating in monthly supply reviews and providing analysis, input, options, and recommendations. Additionally, the role supports the development and maintenance of finished goods inventory plans, quarterly reviews of safety stock, and the implementation and enhancement of master plan reporting tools. Key supply chain metrics related to master planning, such as production, inventory, service, schedule adherence, and attainment, will be measured and reported. The manager will collaborate with the Demand Planner to understand forecast consumption impacts and conduct stocking policy analysis as directed by the Vice President of Corporate Operations. This position also involves identifying policy gaps, assisting in policy development and implementation, and working with consultants to implement and leverage master planning applications. Tactical responsibilities include supporting and managing daily supplier interactions to ensure master plan compliance, addressing production, capacity planning, and procurement needs, processing purchase orders, and resolving invoice discrepancies with the Accounting department. The role also involves working with the Data Management team for vendor setup and price entry, communicating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve various issues, establishing on-time delivery dates, and maintaining positive supplier and internal user relationships. Accurate data entry and participation in software improvements are also key. The position requires adherence to company SOPs and policies, ensuring seamless operations during absences, and active participation in safety and food safety responsibilities, including attending training, reporting concerns, and understanding food safety policies and principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Supply Chain or Operations Management).
  • Broad-based knowledge of master planning, capacity planning, trade-off analysis, and plant detailed scheduling as reflected in a minimum of 10 years of procurement and supply chain experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately updates and drives the master plan by considering capacity, cost, and contractual requirements.
  • Develops, communicates, and selects the optimal master plan that considers the trade-offs among inventory, selected costs, productive capacity, storage, and service to support increased efficiencies and reduced costs.
  • Develops the master plan that meets the demand plan and business objectives as developed through the integrated business planning process.
  • Actively plays a key role in the monthly supply reviews and supports the Integrated Business Planning processes with analysis, input, options, and recommendations.
  • Provides guidance to the development and maintenance of finished goods inventory plans that meet defined demand and master plans.
  • Quarterly reviews, analyzes, and updates safety stock for finished goods.
  • Implements and enhances master plan reporting tools that communicate results and metrics that highlight areas for improvement.
  • Measures and reports key supply chain metrics that relate to master planning including production, inventory, service, schedule adherence, and schedule attainment performance.
  • Works with the Demand Planner to understand the impact of forecast consumption (variance) within a month on supply and inventory decisions.
  • Conducts stocking policy analysis through inventory analysis and manufacturing/distribution analysis as directed by the Vice President of Corporate Operations.
  • Identifies policy gaps and assists with the development and implementation of policies to support supply chain initiatives.
  • Works with supply chain and technology vendor consultants to implement and leverage master planning applications.
  • Supports and manages the daily tactical details and issues that arise with suppliers, ensuring compliance with the master plan.
  • Works with other team members to address production, capacity planning, finished goods procurement, and material procurement driven from the master plan.
  • Processes purchase orders utilizing Company approved software and ensures requirements are met within those orders.
  • Works with Accounting to research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Works with the Data Management team to ensure proper setup of Vendor Master Records and to enter price information from approved suppliers.
  • Effectively communicates and works with suppliers, Customer Support Representatives, and Claims Managers to resolve invoice issues, vendor problems, poor quality of goods, performance issues, and ship date issues.
  • Establishes adequate on-time delivery dates and coordinates ship dates with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery to meet production requirements while resolving over-shipments, shortages, and cancellations.
  • Maintains a good level of public relations with outside suppliers as well as a strong partnership with internal users.
  • Accurately enters, maintains, updates, and participates in Company approved software improvements.
  • Follows Flair SOPs, understands and acts in accordance with the company's policies, and coordinates functional duties to ensure seamless operations during absences.
  • Attends required safety training sessions.
  • Reports any accidents, near misses and safety concerns to a designated safety team leader, in a timely manner.
  • Follows the Company’s work safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintains a good understanding of Flair’s food safety policies, GMP regulatory requirements and HACCP principles reflecting industry best practices, FSSC 22000 certification scheme, and relevant CTPAT minimum security criteria.
  • Reports food safety non-conformities to the responsible person(s). Responsible personnel shall have defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions.
