About The Position

Assist in coordinating the operation of all Special Events or Leisure Experience activities such as ICE!, Best of Florida Christmas, SummerFest, etc. This role involves checking the status of operations, lighting, AV, cleanliness, and systems, and correcting any aesthetic deficiencies. The coordinator will follow training guidelines to support the direction of Special Events Managers and Assistant Managers, and monitor and assist with training for all Special Events employees. Responsibilities include learning and operating software systems used in events (ticketing, retail, inventory, space usage, etc.) and resolving financial, inventory, and numeric discrepancies. The role also requires adherence to company policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, maintaining professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards. This includes anticipating and addressing guest needs, using clear and professional language, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette, developing positive working relationships, and complying with quality assurance standards. The position also involves identifying and recommending new ideas to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
