About The Position

Under the supervision of the Administrative Officer 1, this position is responsible for transporting, loading, unloading, and delivering pharmaceuticals, mail, office supplies, controlled drugs, and other materials on scheduled local and statewide routes. The position ensures timely and accurate deliveries, maintains accountability of transported items, performs basic vehicle maintenance coordination, and assists with mailroom and recordkeeping functions while operating vehicles safely in varying weather and traffic conditions.

Requirements

  • Formal education in arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading, writing & speaking English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application.
  • Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer.
  • Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Operates cargo vans and light trucks to transport pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, mail, payroll, office supplies, and other materials on scheduled delivery routes.
  • Loads, unloads, secures, and verifies deliveries to ensure accurate transportation and accountability of merchandise and materials.
  • Maintains daily delivery schedules and safely operates vehicles in adverse weather and traffic conditions.
  • Performs minor vehicle maintenance checks and reports vehicle malfunctions or repair needs to supervisory staff.
  • Maintains records related to deliveries, mail, equipment, cargo, supplies, and delivery documentation while assisting with mailroom.
