Delivery Truck Driver (Class B)
About The Position
The Delivery Truck Driver (Class B) is responsible for safely transporting air cargo equipment and products between company facilities and customer locations while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service. This role involves loading, securing, delivering, and unloading goods in a timely and efficient manner, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Class B CDL and a current, valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (medical card)
- Must maintain a current DOT Medical Card (Form MCSA-5876) throughout employment
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass drug test per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack a plus
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 6+ months experience driving a large truck preferred
Responsibilities
- Map delivery routes to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries
- Pick-up and deliver Air Cargo equipment and products
- Perform visual inspection of Air Cargo equipment as needed when picking up
- Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm complete pick-ups or deliveries
- Communicate with Repair Station Ops and Customer as needed
- Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, check tire pressure, etc.)
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Performs other duties as assigned, such as scanning the equipment in/out, assist with upkeep of the facility, etc.
