About The Position

This position is responsible for picking up and delivering dairy products to and from customers. The driver will also be responsible for stocking and maintaining inventory in customer coolers and on the route. The role requires maintaining good relationships with customers, other drivers, and vendors, as well as observing and reporting any equipment failures. Daily truck inspections and adherence to all DOT and in-house regulations are mandatory.

Requirements

• Possess a CDL Class A or B Drivers License
• High school diploma/GED required
• Class A or B driver’s license in good standing
• No serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
• No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
• Must be able to sit in a truck for the duration of a shift.
• Must be able to push and pull 90 pounds and carry 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work/drive in extreme temperatures and conditions including hot (100 degrees), cold (below zero degrees) and all types of weather, including but not limited to sun, rain, sleet, snow and ice.
• Must keep work area and truck safe and clean and work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and perform basic mathematics.
• Must be able to follow plant and safety policies and procedures.
• Must comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver dairy products to and/or from customers
• Stock / Inventory customer coolers
• Maintain route inventory
• Load and unload dairy products
• Uses a hand truck to delivery products
• Creates a good relationship with customers, other drivers and vendors
• Observes and reports equipment or mechanical failures immediately
• Conducts daily inspections of the vehicle before driving on a route
• Complete a daily truck log as needed
• Comply with Department of Transportation and in-house rules and regulations
