About The Position

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the final, critical stage of the automotive parts supply chain - ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This role oversees outbound logistics and fleet operations, including strategic dispatching, compliance, vehicle lifecycle management, performance metrics, and asset protection, while championing a strong “Safety First” culture. As the bridge between the warehouse and the customer, the Delivery Manager drives continuous improvement through data, route optimization, and effective use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), while developing a high-performing delivery team committed to operational excellence and exceptional service.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, or demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to operate forklift, picker, and other material handling equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Auto parts warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift, Picker, and Hazmat certification preferred
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct all delivery operations, including driver assignments, route optimization, customer return pick-ups, weather/road condition adjustments, and real-time issue resolution.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery (OTD), order accuracy, and freight cost efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy and accountability of outbound inventory to safeguard company assets.
  • Utilize the WMS to process orders, troubleshoot system issues, and generate actionable delivery and inventory reports.
  • Continuously evaluate delivery schedules and route assignments to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Maintain Driver Qualification (DQ) files and ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • Proactively identify and address safety risks; lead safety reporting and conduct facility and vehicle inspections.
  • Serve as the primary contact for resolving internal and external customer concerns related to deliveries and driver performance.
  • Oversee the vehicle maintenance program, including daily pre- and post-trip inspections and fleet cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure fleet readiness by coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance with minimal service disruption.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Distribution Manager on long-term vehicle replacement and lifecycle planning.
  • Drive warehouse performance through strategic hiring, structured onboarding, continuous training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure alignment with departmental goals and performance standards.
  • Manage departmental labor resources, including scheduling, timekeeping, leave administration, and resolution of employee concerns.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve productivity and reduce delivery cycle times.
  • Partner with SPC departments to resolve operational challenges and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $72,900.00 - $110,820.00 per year
