About The Position

The role is part of Digital Wealth & Insurance Technology Solutions, Application Services – Group Retirement Services. As a Delivery Manager (Agile), you are an integral part of, and accountable for supporting the GRS Portfolio and the Foundation and Sponsor Platforms. The Delivery Manager (Agile) is responsible for supporting the delivery of technology solutions and is the interface to other areas of DBTS. You are accountable for supporting solution development within an Agile framework and ensuring that solutions meet the business goals. As part of the support, you will work with various managers to support teams for maximum effectiveness balanced with appropriate utilization of alternate sourcing. In light of Digital Enterprise (DE), the Delivery Manager (Agile) also works with the GRS DE Leadership team to research and organize the development of strategies that will move the broader portfolio forward and ensure that applicable business and technology trends are both well-known and understood. This includes both industry research and Sun Life specific research (business and IT) to ensure that GRS Applications are current, support industry leading products and are sustainable within Sun Life.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate budgetary/financial processes and reporting for the GRS Portfolio
  • Provide support at the GRS portfolio, platform and squad levels with respect to Quarterly Increment Planning (QIP), Quarterly Review (QR), Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and related deliverables
  • Work with leaders and coaches to support value realization, cycle time and benefits tracking processes
  • Identify and drive changes in continuous improvement
  • Support the pursuit and realization of new business opportunities
  • Support awareness and utilization of IT Capabilities
  • Acts as business partner advocate within DBTS
  • Ensure awareness of existing and emerging IT capabilities
  • Drive the appropriate adoption and utilization of IT capabilities
  • Manage DBTS spend to the agreed plan
  • Facilitate selection of vendor solutions for business application and support the management of vendor service delivery for external software and professional services for business applications
  • Assist in management of strategic vendor relationships on behalf of business units
  • Manage the business investment in the IT portfolio
  • Identify new opportunities
  • Facilitate business prioritization and decisions
  • Ensure DBTS services are delivered at the appropriate service level and cost
  • Ensure business requirements and priorities are understood
  • Ensure IT services meet service level requirements
  • Build highly effective relationships with other shared services groups, including testing, operations and support services to ensure resourcing, planning and functions are appropriately managed and delivered
