About The Position

The Delivery & Installation Specialist safely delivers, places, and assembles Ashley Home Furniture in customers’ homes while protecting the products and property. The role is responsible for accurate deliveries, efficient route execution, and a professional customer experience. The specialist loads, secures, transports, and unloads furniture; carries it into customer-designated rooms; and assembles items as required. The role also includes inspecting products, documenting delivery details, coordinating with a delivery partner, following safety procedures, and maintaining delivery records.

Requirements

Ability to perform repeated physical lifting.
Ability to work as part of a two-person crew.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if assigned to drive.
Ability to follow route instructions and use mobile delivery applications.

Responsibilities

Load, secure, transport, and unload furniture according to the daily route.
Carry furniture into customer-designated rooms and assemble items as required.
Verify products and delivery instructions before beginning each stop.
Remove packaging and leave the work area clean when required.
Treat customers and their homes with professionalism and care.
Inspect furniture for visible damage and document exceptions.
Complete a final customer walkthrough and confirm delivery details.
Minimize damage, missed deliveries, and return visits.
Arrive prepared and complete assigned stops efficiently.
Coordinate with the delivery partner on safe lifting and placement.
Maintain accurate delivery status, photos, and proof of delivery.
Promptly communicate route delays, access restrictions, and product discrepancies.
Follow safe driving, lifting, and furniture-handling procedures.
Use proper protective equipment and material-handling tools.
Inspect the truck and equipment before use.
Immediately report incidents, property damage, and injuries.
