About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers customer orders by car within a designated area and to customers’ doors. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Team members receive on-the-job orientation and training. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Must be able to perform the physical duties described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, reaching, bending, and navigating stairs.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area; make several deliveries per shift as needed.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete related paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
Use written, verbal, and telephone communication to process orders and communicate with customers and coworkers.
Navigate to delivery addresses, including adverse terrain, private homes, multistory buildings, and stairs.
Unload and move product and supplies, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items as needed.
Perform other store tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and occasional maintenance-related activities.
