This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires the ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, and to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers. Essential functions include accurate and quick mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills, good eye-hand coordination for precise movements, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, and infrequently climbing stairs or ladders. Additional job details include forward bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, continuous reaching up, down, and forward, and continuous use of hands for various tasks including forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough. Team members may be required to utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel. Specific job duties for delivery include delivering product by car and to the customer's door, and delivering flyers and door hangers. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses. The delivery personnel must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings while carrying product. Physical demands during delivery include carrying pizzas and beverages, driving within a designated area, walking between the store and vehicle and to the customer's location, and potentially climbing five or more flights of stairs. The work conditions include exposure to varying weather conditions during delivery. Sensing requirements for driving include far and night vision.
