About The Position
Domino's Pizza is seeking Delivery Drivers who are at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. Successful candidates will have their driving records reviewed and must maintain auto liability insurance. The role involves completing food orders, navigating the delivery area, safely delivering products, and providing excellent customer service. Delivery Drivers may also be trained to take customer orders via phone, in person, or computer, handle cash transactions accurately, and use company-issued equipment. Additionally, drivers assist with store cleanliness and stocking, performing duties similar to other entry-level employees. The job involves working in various weather conditions and requires physical tasks such as unloading bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck, stacking items up to 72 inches high, carrying ingredient cans, and moving pizza dough trays (weighing approximately 12 pounds each) which may involve using a dolly.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Have driving records reviewed
- Maintain auto liability insurance
- Driving record must be in good standing (not suspended, revoked, or restricted)
- Driving record must meet Domino's standards
- Ability to read area map(s)
- Ability to use Domino's specific equipment issued (car toppers, hot bags, jackets)
- Ability to accurately take phone orders, face to face, and computer orders correctly
- Effective cash handling, cash drops and reconciliation
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Ability to lift and stack items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push dollies with stacks of trays
Responsibilities
- Complete food orders before leaving the store
- Know the store's delivery area and be able to read area maps
- Safely drive to and from locations, delivering undamaged product
- Greet customers in the restaurant or at their home, projecting a positive image
- Take pizza orders when not on a delivery
- Accurately take phone, face-to-face, and computer orders
- Handle cash transactions, including cash drops and reconciliation
- Make correct monetary change
- Use, display, return, and properly store Domino's specific equipment (car toppers, hot bags, jackets) at the end of each shift
- Assist with keeping the store clean and stocked
- Perform duties similar to other entry-level employees
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck
- Carry cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Stack items onto shelves up to 72 inches high
- Carry trays of pizza dough (approximately 12 pounds each)
- Move trays placed on dollies
