About The Position

Crafco, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver for the SW Ohio territory (Dayton and surrounding). This role involves towing trailers or flatbeds to transport new and rental equipment and products to customers. The company provides a company vehicle, cell phone, and laptop for managing the territory. The Delivery Driver is responsible for managing the transportation of rental equipment, providing light customer support with equipment, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The position offers a competitive base salary plus bonus potential and an excellent benefits package.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 - 5+ years related work experience
  • Experience towing equipment/machinery desired
  • Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving history
  • Physically able to drive long hours both in and out of state
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed and take initiative in prioritizing and executing work responsibilities
  • Physical ability to perform job functions including standing, sitting, bending, squatting, or remaining in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time, lifting/moving large, bulky and/or heavy items (50 lbs. or more) frequently, working in adverse conditions including hot/cold both indoors and outdoors and/or in inclement weather
  • High degree of safety-awareness
  • Positive attitude, work well with others
  • Desire to support customer's needs and provide outstanding service and deliver quality work
  • Ability for local travel, as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily and weekly delivery schedule, prioritizing deliveries and work orders.
  • Drive flatbed trucks and/or tow trailered equipment to deliver parts, equipment, and pallets of material to customers.
  • Transport equipment between locations or customers, potentially involving light equipment operation demonstrations.
  • Coordinate available equipment with co-workers and travel to surrounding territories as needed.
  • Perform light troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Conduct daily record keeping of driving logs, work orders, customer contacts, parts, equipment, and material orders.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers, including government agencies and private contractors.
  • Learn product knowledge about Crafco's equipment and pavement maintenance products.
  • Perform job duties including sitting/standing for long periods, hitching and/or loading/unloading equipment and materials, conducting deliveries, and equipment demonstrations.
  • Provide light overview training to customers on safe and proper operation of equipment and material application.
  • Suggest ideas, improvements, and innovations based on customer input and field experiences.
  • Complete and submit necessary documents and reports, including customer notes in Salesforce, expense reports, call/activity reports, vehicle and driver DOT documentation, and work orders.
  • Coordinate with sales personnel to support product demonstrations and training in the territory.
