About The Position

The Delivery Driver II delivers products from Sherwin-Williams stores to customers using box and flat-bed trucks. The driver ensures orders are complete, correctly packed, and delivered safely to the right customer, while supporting customer satisfaction and timely transportation.

The position is based at Store #3484, 4601 Tower Rd., Denver, CO 80249. Duties involve customer contact and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. Sherwin-Williams states that a criminal-history review is necessary to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

The role also includes store and warehouse tasks, such as tinting and mixing customer orders and assisting customers. The selected candidate must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, and must meet the stated lifting and driving requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
• Have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a DOT-licensed medical examiner listed on the FMCSA National Registry, or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer.
• Be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Be willing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience working as a delivery driver.
• At least one year of work experience using material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, or conveyor belts.
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Load customer orders properly onto the truck.
• Complete appropriate forms.
• Load, transport, and deliver items safely and on time.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair or servicing needs.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle customer complaints.
• Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
• Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and other delivery-related documents.
• Operate equipment and machines, including cars, trucks, and forklifts.
• Perform other store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting and mixing customer orders, and serving customers.
