About The Position
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for operating a delivery vehicle, navigating assigned routes, and ensuring timely deliveries. You will also provide in-store support, including preparing products and maintaining cleanliness. Effective communication with customers and team members is crucial, as is accurate processing of orders and monetary transactions. Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Ability to navigate using maps and GPS
- Ability to lift and carry orders
- Basic math skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Navigate assigned delivery routes efficiently using maps and navigational applications
- Locate and deliver orders to designated addresses within the delivery area
- Navigate multi-story buildings and adverse terrain to complete deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete associated paperwork
- Operate all equipment as directed
- Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
- Prepare products according to company specifications as needed
- Receive and process telephone orders when required
- Maintain cleanliness of designated work areas and equipment on a daily basis
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members both verbally and in writing
- Process orders accurately over the phone and in person
- Provide professional customer service and service recovery as needed
- Comprehend and execute written instructions correctly
- Process monetary transactions accurately, including calculating change
- Perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with accuracy
- Enter orders using computer keyboards or touch screens
- Maintain precise documentation of deliveries and transactions
