Delivery Driver - Pharmacy Services
About The Position
Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers, in accordance with customer demand and assigned-route requirements. The role prepares doses and cases for shipment, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in accordance with safety standards and Department of Transportation requirements. The driver makes deliveries using a company vehicle that does not require a CDL and uses a handheld tablet to support order accuracy and route navigation. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Flexibility to work different days, schedules, shifts, and overtime as business needs require is expected. The role also requires availability for on-call work and holidays as part of a rotation.
Requirements
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Be at least 18 years of age due to driving a company-owned vehicle.
- Be able to manage weights up to 75 pounds.
- Be comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
- Be able to sit, stand, remain mobile, and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
- Have strong customer service and communication skills.
- Be able to work on-call and holidays as part of a rotation.
- Be flexible to work various shifts or overtime as needed.
- Be able to use computers and tablets.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Prior delivery driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and make deliveries to customer accounts on an assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
- Package radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, perform testing, and load and unload containers.
- Use a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy and obtain route stop information and navigation.
- Process packages returned from customer locations.
- Maintain vehicles in proper working condition and, when needed, perform minor roadside repairs.
- Perform general facility cleaning and other duties as required.
