About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers. Drivers need to navigate to addresses and handle delivery sites that may include private homes, adverse terrain, and multi-story buildings with stairs.

As a store team member, the driver may also operate equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The position involves working in varying conditions, including adverse weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing, bending, reaching, and continuous hand use.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Possess navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Be able to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to perform the described physical tasks, including lifting and carrying cases weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, and carrying products during delivery.
