About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering patient orders accurately and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with patients and team members. The driver will be responsible for vehicle inspections, order verification, payment collection, and accurate documentation. Shifts can vary from 8-12 hours, with 3-5 scheduled days per week, including full-time hours. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Requirements

  • Delivery experience is preferred (from any industry).
  • Timely, responsible, and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must have an active, valid driver's license.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (sit, stand, kneel, bend, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Schedule must be flexible and open.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to dispatch-set departure time.
  • Review patient orders and documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Exchange missing or incorrect items with the inventory specialist.
  • Pay close attention to all details of patient orders and documentation.
  • Complete vehicle inspection report before each trip.
  • Gather electronic devices, gas card, and petty cash, and load materials into the assigned vehicle with a partner.
  • Sign in on platforms before exiting the facility to begin Onfleet patient tracking.
  • Verify patient identity (photo ID or medical card) upon arrival.
  • Document a photo of the patient's ID or medical card on their Onfleet file.
  • Exchange and verify payment with the patient.
  • Request patient signature and date on the manifest after payment is received.
  • Finalize patient orders, confirming accuracy before departing to the next location.
  • Check the MMUR en route to the facility to ensure daily patient orders are marked accordingly, close out orders as necessary, and confirm all tasks were completed in Onfleet.
  • Park the vehicle in the designated area upon return to the facility.
  • Drop the secured cash bag with manifests and receipts into the safe.
  • Return electronic devices and coolers/freezers to the designated area.
  • Return car keys to the security team.
  • Actively check Flowery email and Teams chat for communications.
  • Complete assigned trainings by their due dates.
  • Contact dispatch or customer service for any issues that arise during the route.
  • Maintain a clean and operational vehicle and report any needs to the lead.
  • Maintain a positive level of professionalism with co-pilots, team members, and patients.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
