About The Position

IWI Auto Parts, a division of Parts Authority, is seeking Delivery Drivers for part-time positions in Cedar Rapids, IA. Parts Authority is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools, and equipment, with a strong history of growth and stability. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the primary point of contact with customers, responsible for fostering strong client relationships and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Requirements

  • Current, valid driver's license.
  • Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over).
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle prolonged sitting.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs (for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers).
  • Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Ensure orders are properly fulfilled and customers are satisfied.
  • Follow directions from the dispatcher, use route navigation apps, and knowledge of the area to deliver packages on time.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle customer concerns.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Accept payments, prepare reports including invoices, return forms, and reconcile money collected.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and report any issues.
  • Assist with other store/warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking and parts pulling.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
