About The Position

The Transportation Delivery Driver works under the direction of the Transportation Leadership Team and is responsible for the safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally compliant operation of a refrigerated CDL truck. You’ll deliver fresh fruits and vegetables throughout Louisiana while maintaining professional relationships with customers, dispatch, day & night receiving managers, Capitol City Produce team members, and vendors. This role requires flexibility. Drivers must be available mornings, afternoons, and early evenings — any day of the week — based on schedules determined by the Transportation Manager. Typical routes begin around 3:00 a.m. and generally end by 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

1+ year driving experience in a straight box truck or larger vehicle
Valid Louisiana Class A or B Driver’s License
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Ability to start routes at 3:00 a.m.
Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card
Clear MVR (no more than 1 moving violation within a rolling calendar year)
